Geliye Duhok project, Tourist destination in Duhok
Architectural design and drawings, 2005-2011
Plot size: Open plot
Construction: 2005-2011
Geliye Duhok is a vibrant tourist destination, named after its location in the heart of the Duhok Valley. Blending natural beauty with modern facilities, the project offers a range of services such as a restaurant, candy and juice shops, motel, a fitness and massage center, cascading waterfalls, landscaped gardens and a multi-level parking lot. It also includes the Duhok Municipal Guesthouse, which offers accommodation for special visitors.
A key part of the project is a park designed to celebrate three important national holidays, seamlessly linked through artistic and architectural elements. The project extends from the valley entrance to the Duhok Dam, with a waterfall installation in the center that I personally designed and supervised, in addition to the restoration of ancient ruins around the Carsting Cave, which are carefully integrated into the landscape.
Thanks to its scenic views and pleasant summer climate, Geliye Duhok attracts both locals and tourists from all over the world. It has become a popular destination, especially in the evenings, where families and friends gather to enjoy the natural surroundings and create lasting memories.
